Cereal Boxes Fall Like Dominoes at St. Christine School

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Students, staff and volunteers at St. Christine School on the city’s West Side had bit of fun Friday while rounding out a month-long service project of collecting cereal for the hungry in the Mahoning Valley.

With over 600 boxes of cereal collected by the school and church community, the students and parent volunteers were able to form a chain that wound its way through the parking lot.

When the boxes fell like dominoes, they ended in the shape of a heart with over 300 students in grades K-8 and several parent volunteers cheering them on.

The cereal will be donated to Our Community Kitchen in Youngstown, the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley, and families in need within the school.
