Columbiana County Encourages COVID Testing Amid ‘Significant Change’

LISBON, Ohio — Columbiana County Health District is reminding residents of local COVID-19 testing locations as the county has seen “a significant change” in the positivity rate over the last few weeks.

For the 14-day period ending Aug. 24, the county’s positivity rate was 11%, up from 4.4% for the 14-day period ending July 27, the health district reports. The rate had increased steadily within that period of time.

“With this in mind it is important for residents to be aware of local COVID-19 testing locations,” the health districted stated in a press release. “Please remember, if you are feeling under the weather, stay home until your symptoms subside, regardless of your COVID-19 status. Preventing the spread of any disease from the common cold to COVID-19 is vital for the health of the community.”
