National Packard Museum Honors Bunnell

WARREN, Ohio —  The National Packard Museum’s Board of Directors recently honored Theodore “Ted” Bunnell for distinguished service and philanthropy in support of the museum and its mission. During the event, Bunnell was given a plaque commemorating the occasion and honoring him for his years of service and philanthropy. An identical plaque will be on permanent display in the museum.

Bunnell of Bethany, W.Va., is a life member of the Packard Museum Association and was elected as director emeritus of the museum’s board of directors in 2020 after completing his term as board president. He previously served on the museum’s advisory council before being elected to the board of in 2011.

Bunnell is also a benefactor of the museum, contributing major gifts to the museum’s construction in 1999 and then to the expansion in 2010. Additionally, he contributes to the annual fund and is a member of the Super Eight donor program along with providing support for major projects and programs.

“This award is a small token of our overwhelming gratitude for his friendship, support and leadership over the years,” says executive director Mary Ann Porinchak.  

“Ted’s help enabled us to proceed with a major expansion during the 2008-2009 financial crisis and steadied the ship during the recent pandemic which forced the museum’s temporary closure. His kind and gentle voice amidst the uncertainty of the past year gave us hope and courage as we navigated the uncertainty of the new Covid landscape.”
