Regional Chamber Donates $10,000 to Oh Wow! for New Exhibits

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Foundation has donated $10,000 to Oh Wow! The Roger & Gloria Jones Children’s Center for Science & Technology.

The gift is the result of a fundraiser hosted last year around the chamber’s Salute to Business Breakfast. The  VIP event featured Majida Mourad, vice president of Tellurian, the country’s largest natural gas company.

The funds will be used to install new exhibits at the children’s museum in downtown Youngstown. The new microelectronics and “House of Shine” exhibits will be unveiled at a grand reopening May 15.

The event also raised $10,000 for the Regional Chamber’s economic development efforts, including those in attracting energy sector jobs.

Assisting in the fundraiser were the Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Program, The Grand Resort, Dominion Energy, VEC, Highland Field Services and Encino Energy.
